The brief was to create some poster for the theatre foyer. Theme had to be about theatre, and the theatre
wanted a colorful work to fill a big white wall at the entrance.
The target was an audience, a well educated one, wealthy, aged between 30 and 60 years old.
The goal was to use the ultimate theatre icon, “The mask”, and represent it in a personal contemporary way.
Each mask represents in a symbolic way a characther from the tradition
of The Comedy of Art, taking inspiration from both the Italian theatre tradition and the colorful and naif aesteic
of ethnic masks.Illustration, Print Design2012 -
I made this work for a group show about printmaking I have been featuring in.
The title was “Matrici” (“Matrix”) and the aim was to show different printing techniques, displaying both the matrix
and the print in order to explicit the process.
I decided to create a very simple print with 2 matrix, one for each color.
I wanted the matrix to be as interesting as the prints so they had to be quite big and the drawing had to be
detailed and clear.
I loved the idea to cover a subject with a detailed pattern, playing with the transparencies of the colors and the
texture, melting completely the 2 different drawings.
The whole serie is a sequence of the pattern covering the subject.Illustration, Print Design2012 -

The main concept regards Family and the secret liaisons that exist in it.
I took the inspiration from the old family portraits, the cameos that
enclose in a single image passion, character and the story of each family
member.
The project is a serie of animal portraits that could be part of a unique family or not, they still are isolated in
their own representation and linked to each other by some invisible laces.
The etching technique helps to give the portraits the idea of time that passes by, the memory that blurs the
contours, giving the whole work a romantic and poetic atmosphere.
This is a limited edition of 10 copies.Illustration, Print Design2010 -
